Yesterday, we had the pleasure of announcing another culture year coup for Liverpool, with the news that the Globe Theatre of London would be coming to Liverpool to perform William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale in St James’ Gardens, in the shadow of the Anglican Cathedral.

Streetwaves 2008

Streetwaves is a Culture Company Project that animates and makes use of Liverpool’s neighbourhood areas and Merseyside boroughs, in order to bring young people together to enjoy fantastic locally made music.

Its strength is that there are absolutely no genre restrictions so any musical artist is welcome and no act is either too small or large to get involved. As long as you are aged between 14 and 25 and live in the Merseyside area you are eligible to take part.
