Forget Scouse…We Want A New Dish For A New Liverpool

SCOUSE has long been associated with Liverpool but should we have a new signature dish to symbolise the city in 2008?The ECHO and the The Mersey Partnership have teamed up to challenge chefs across the region to create a recipe reflecting the new Liverpool in Capital of Culture year.
“Scouse is an important part of our history and is worth celebrating in itself but we thought it would be interesting, especially this year, to test the creativity and skills of chefs across the region,” says Martin King, director of tourism for the Partnership.
