liver bird easter eggCOULD it be the patter of tiny feet for the Liver Birds?It appeared the city’s icons might have been expecting a new arrival as a giant silver egg appeared yesterday next to one of the birds.

Or were they getting in on the act in anticipation of the first Great Royal Liver Easter Egg Hunt, which takes place over the weekend?

The free treasure hunt will lead a trail of 10 cryptic clues all over the city over Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

Great Royal Liver Easter Egg Hunt

Everyone is welcome to join in the first ever Great Royal Liver Easter Egg Hunt which takes place over the Easter Weekend (22, 23, 24 March).The free family treasure hunt, will put Liverpool’s budding detectives to the test as participants will have to solve cryptic clues which will lead them to top-secret city centre locations! Successful sleuths will be entered into a prize draw and be in with the chance of winning an exclusively designed silver egg, valued at £1000, kindly donated by renowned fine jewellery designer, David M Robinson.

The winner will also be treated to a VIP lunch at Liverpool’s newest restaurant, the highest in the country, ‘Panoramic’ where they will collect their prize.
